My secret recipe for unique wedding photography?
Are you in doubt? Throw a party for 120 people in the neighborhood or go on an adventure abroad with a select group? If this is your dilemma, I recommend the rock ’n roll version!
The holiday vibes during a destination wedding are simply fantastic. Here you have the time to lie by the pool until 2 p.m., before you have to get ready for the ceremony. An unforgettable experience for both the couple and the guests who traveled with you…
But which photographer should we choose, because engaged couples often have wrong preconceptions. Discover on this page why I can provide you with a unique wedding report, where – thanks to my NINJA style – you don’t even have the feeling that there is a photographer present…
Contact me without obligation for more information! What can it do? It could just give you beautiful memories. Let’s make YOUR memories together!
“We definitely have to get our photographer from the region of our wedding destination!”
Myth! Many couples have the prejudice that your photographer always has to come from the region in the country of destination. Because they know your wedding venue and know a nice location where you can take couple photos. This idea is no longer up to date, because ‘coming from the region’ is no guarantee that you have a good photographer. Did you know that your creativity as a photographer is always better in places where you have never been before!
‘But then we have to pay extra travel costs on top of the photography!’
Travel and accommodation costs are indeed separate from the photography price, because we are often on the road for 3 days to make a day report of a wedding. Expenses must of course be reimbursed.
‘The preconceived idea of a bridal couple – that the extra travel costs are a ‘no go’ to choose a destination wedding photographer anyway – is a complete misconception!’
With local photographers in popular foreign destinations, their daily price for photography will often be higher than my price. Therefore, the total price will often be similar or even cheaper. Therefore, request the wedding brochure without obligation to discover why a local is not always a logical choice…
“Those destination photographers just want to travel at our expense!”
Not true! We are not going to be coy about it, if I can exchange the often rainy weather in Belgium for a beautiful setting under a radiant sun; that is a bonus. But make no mistake, we are not here to enjoy the sun! The only thing on my to do list is to give you unique memories, because it is and remains a WORKING trip!
For a Belgian wedding report you will be busy for 1 day; for a destination wedding at least 2 days. This was the script of my last destination wedding in Estepona (Spain) and you will soon notice that it was not to travel at your own expense 😉

“We don’t like to pose, but a photographer MUST provide guidelines all day long to be able to take nice pictures.”
It can be done differently! I actually NEVER wanted to become a wedding photographer, because in my mind these were the most boring images you could possibly make. Looking straight into the lens and not forgetting to smile. Posed stuff throughout the day. A day of telling people what to do and where to stand; and selling this as ‘spontaneous’ photography…
Give me National Geographic documentaries, street photography or conflict reports. Images that immediately have an impact on the viewer. Images where the photographer tells the story of what is happening in front of him/her, because they are not able to let their subject do what they want. THAT is spontaneous photography! Storytelling at its best!
So I decided to approach wedding photography completely differently. Like a documentary photographer! Without playing the conductor. A unique approach that is guaranteed to give you authentic memories with a story. No ‘it’s because the photographer told us to do this’ memories…
Apart from the couple shoot (which is only 5% of your day) you can be yourself, without any posed stuff. 95% of your day without guidelines on what to do, where to stand,… Does this sound like music to your ears?
I have been able to make memories for couples in Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain & South Africa. Every first couple for whom I am allowed to make a wedding documentary in a new country, will not have to pay for travel expenses. Only photography!
Many colleagues have a quota regarding the number of images you receive upon delivery. This is often between 400-800 images, with the option to pay extra if you want more photos…
You will receive ALL successful images from me!
With a full day wedding documentary you will often receive over 1000 fully edited images. You will receive these in your private, online photo gallery; in which you can download everything in high quality, invite other people to view the gallery, email a photo directly to someone from the gallery,…
